The World Hath Conquered, The Wind Hath Scattered Like Dust

The world hath conquered, the wind
hath scattered like dust
Alexander, Caesar, and all that shared
Tara is grass, and behold how Troy
lieth low --
And even the English, perchance their
hour will come!

By Padraig Pearse. Published in Poems of the Irish Revolutionary Brotherhood, Small, Maynard and Company, Boston, 1916.
