Are all Republican politicians gay? Why don't they just amend their anti-gay charter and make it pro-gay? Why don't they just run as Democrats where they would be less vilified? I don't get it. The pathetic desire to get stern daddy's approval, I guess.
I love this guy Roy Ashburn. He's a Republican politician in California, consistently votes against gay rights. A real "family-values" type of guy. Except that he's gay and, until recently, in the closet.
Another thing. This guy was married, trying not to be gay. But he had four kids in the marriage. If somebody is gay, couldn't they at least figure it out before they procreate. Four times. We have too many people in the world. One of the good things about gay people is that they don't tend to feel the need to reproduce themselves. Over and over and over. Except this guy did it four times.
What was he trying to prove? That he wasn't gay?
He reminds of that Governor of New Jersey who was caught using public funds to keep his boyfriend on the payroll, while hiding from his wife and the citizens the fact that he was gay. When he was caught using public funds to pay his boyfriend, that was a serious issue. But what did he do? Did he say: I am a crook? No, he said: I am a proud gay American. Talk about nerve. No, he's a crook. The gay part is irrelevant to his public duty.
So this guy Ashburn is another conservative, family-values Republican in the closet. Apparently he goes to gay clubs, gets drunk, and picks up men. And drives his car. So he got caught the other night driving drunk in Sacramento with his male companion in the car, both of them having just left this gay club called Faces.
What does this politician do? Does he come out and say: Yes, I'm the most despicable human being on earth. I drive drunk. I put other people's lives in danger because I'm too much of an arrogant A-hole to call a cab?
No. He says: I'm gay. But so what? That's not the point. That's not the problem. The problem is that he was drunk, and driving a car.
That's the problem with Republicans: they always lie.
Hey Roy, nobody cares if you're gay. Well, all those sick Republicans care, but the rest of the citizens really don't. But we do care that you drive a car while you're drunk. I hope he gets serious time and penalties and fines and every possible sanction for driving drunk. Other than being an obnoxious hateful hypocritical bigot and liar, or in other words a Republican, the one thing I really hate most is when people drive drunk.
And for God's sake buddy, don't go out and start impregnating more females to try to prove you're not gay anymore. Four is quite enough, thank you.

“Family Values” California state senator representing Kern County, Republican Roy Ashburn (guess how he votes on gay issues?), goes to a gay bar near the Capital, picks up a scantily clad buddy, gets drunk, drives and receives a DUI. In my opinion the Republican Party has been taken over small portions of the republican party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” (people who love to push their beliefs on others while trying to take away rights of those they just hate) and that’s who they need to extract from their party if they real want to win. Good Luck, because as they said in WACO, “We Ain’t Coming Out”. They are good at “Follow the Leader”. They listen to their dullard leaders Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush and Savage and the rest of the Blowhards. The world is complicated and most republicans (Hamiliton, Lincoln, Roosevelt) believe that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now its about dancing around the claim that government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. Although most republicans are trying to distant themselves from this fringe they have a long way to go. I guess Ashburn is the first on the list “2010 Republican Summer of Love”. Remember last year list of “2009 Republican Summer of Love”: state assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), SC Board of Ed Chair, Kristin Maguire (AKA Bridget Keeney). Do I hear Tammy Wynette, “Stand By Your Man” playing in the background? I remember not so long ago that other Orange County song favorite, “Stand By Your Tan” (for Tan Nguyen). But that’s another Orange County fool.
