Representative John Murtha died today, reportedly after complications from gall bladder surgery. Murtha served in congress for over 35 years as a representative from Pennsylvania. You may remember Murtha spoke out against the war in Iraq, and Nancy Pelosi tried to get him as Majority Leader in the House but was defeated by more centrist Democrats who chose that bastion of nothingness and war-loving Steny Hoyer instead. John Murtha was 77 years old.
